Daniel Overbey is a partner practicing in the areas of litigation and family law. Prior to attending law school, Daniel served for 13 years as a Police Sergeant with the Daytona Beach Police Department. After law school, Daniel was employed with a large Chicago law firm until moving to Wisconsin in 2004. His legal experience includes:
LITIGATION
- Extensive litigation experience involving business litigation, contract disputes, products liability, asbestos litigation, insurance disputes and construction defects
- Represented international beverage bottling company in successful recovery of $34 million in insurance coverage
- Represented hospital in commercial fraud case resulting in $1.2 million judgment
- Successfully negotiated multi-million dollar asbestos & mesothelioma settlements
- Successful prosecution and defense of residential construction defect claims
FAMILY LAW
- Zealous advocacy in divorce and legal separation actions and cohabitation dissolutions
- Complex custody and physical placement disputes, including out-of-state relocation
- Child support modifications
- Resolution of property division issues
- Successfully argued parental rights case before Florida Supreme Court
